Folk Medical Behavior in the Medieval Period Centred on Dunhuang-Turpan Documentation
By analyzing the excavated literature from Turpan of Dunhuang,the spectrum of diseases in medieval period of China is discussed,as well as the diagnosis and treatment of the common diseases,which could lay the foundation for the relevant studies.We find that official medical institutions are well established in this period,self-treatment is still the mainstay of the treatment for the general population,and the official involvement in the diagnosis and treatment of major diseases has been found to a certain extent,in addition,physical therapy,psychological therapy and others were widely used in the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases.
