The Application of State-target Strategy in Internal Heat and Fullness Type of Diabetes Mellitus and Stable Angina Pectoris:Daihuang Huanlian Xiexin Tang plus Gegen,Sanqi and American Ginseng
Internal heat and fullness type of diabetes mellitus(DM)belongs to the category of"spleen heat"in TCM,academician Tong Xiaolin raises the strategy of"state-target"based on traditional thinking of syndrome differentiation in TCM combined with achievements in modern medical technology,and divided DM into four phases:stagnation,heat,deficiency and depletion.Internal heat and fullness with blood stasis is the fundamental state of accumulation of heat and depression,Daihuang Huanglian Xiexin Tang was adopted to ajust the abnormality of internal heat and fullness,Gegen(Puerariae lobatae radix)was added to relieve fever and generate fluid,Sanqi(Notoginseng radix et rhizoma)was applied to remove stasis and produce new blood,and American ginseng was used to benefit Qi and nourish Yin,thereby improving clinical symptoms and core pathological changes,regula-ting the state and targets simultaneously,so as to acheive the precision and modernisation in Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment.
