Effects of Acupoint Application Combined with Benefiting-mother Generating-new Decoction on Early Lactation of Patients of Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis Pattern after Cesarean Section
Objective:To discuss the effects of acupoint application combined with oral administration of benefiting-mother generating-new decoction(Yimu Shengxin Tang)on the lactation of patients of Qi deficiency and blood stasis pattern after cesarean section(CS).Methods:A total of 100 primiparae undergoing CS were chosen, and divided into the control group and the treatment group according to random number table method,50 cases in each group. Both groups were given conventional nursing measures after the operation, and the control group took the decoction, and the treatment group accepted acupoint application on the foundation of the decoction. Both groups were intervened for seven days consecutively. To compare postoperative lactation, exclusive breastfeeding rate in five days after birth and the levels of PRL between the two groups. Results:After the surgery, the treatment group was earlier than the control group in breastfeeding time and time for the onset of lactation, more than the control group in the number of breastfeedings within 24 hours after colostrum(P<0.05);exclusive breastfeeding rate of the treatment group was[80.00%(40/50)],higher than[58.00%(29/50)]of the control group in five days after the delivery(P<0.05);The levels of PRL increased in the two groups in seven days after the treatment, and the increase of the treatment group was more noticeable(P<0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint application combined with oral administration of benefiting-mother generating-new decoction could obtain apparent effects on lactation in patients of Qi deficiency and blood stasis pattern after CS,and it could effectively raise the expressions of serum PRL.
