The function of calcium fertilizer in orchard were introduced,such as enhancing root absorption,improving yield,quality,storage,enhancing stress resistance,adaptability,preventing physiological diseases,and the adverse effects of excessive application of calcium fertilizer,such as deficiency syndrome and calcium poisoning.The causes and symptoms of cal-cium deficiency were analyzed,and the measures to prevent calcium deficiency such as improving soil,calcium cycle and nutri-tion regulation were put forward,as well as scientific calcium application methods such as calcium application according to land,tree,time,cause and effect,scientific calcium selection,calcium application in root layer,foliar spraying and high pres-sure injection for reforence.
