Construction and implementation of a digital carbon management system for carbon neutrality of steel industry
Against the backdrop of achieving carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals,China's steel industry is fac-ing three challenges:international low-carbon trade barriers,entering the national carbon trading market,and demand for low-carbon products in downstream industries.Steel enterprises should adhere to the direction of intelli-gent and green development,accelerate the construction of digital carbon management systems that conform to their own characteristics,and better support their low-carbon and green development.It was focused on the integration of new generation digital technology and carbon management in steel enterprises,proposed a digital carbon manage-ment system architecture based on the level of enterprise informatization development and software and hardware conditions,and emphasized the coupling of digital carbon management system and enterprise business management processes.Based on the WisCarbon digital platform for carbon neutrality independently developed by HBIS Group,it was pointed out that data exchange is the fundamental for the integration of carbon management and process pro-duction management,digital carbon platform and information system,and the carbon data measurement and monitor-ing function of HBIS was introduced relying on the digital carbon management platform to collect,process and model production data related to carbon emissions in steel enterprises.Based on the digital carbon management sys-tem,an improvement has been realized in the carbon governance capabilities of HBIS main production lines,and good practical results in enterprise digital carbon accounting,product carbon footprint digital assessment,and CBAM digital reporting for export have achieved,providing a good demonstration for the steel industry to cope with increasingly severe carbon emission challenges.
