The throttling segregated fuel-oxidizer solid motor deploys fuel-rich and oxygen-rich combustion chamber in a tandem way,and a throttle valve is utilized in the middle of the two chambers to regulate the motor thrust performance.In the present study,the operating states of the throttling segregated fuel-oxidizer solid motor at different throttle valve channel radii were simulated by means of commercial software,and the gas flow and mix characteristics of motor were obtained according to working status.The thrust regulation mechanism and the influence of throttle valve channel radius on its combustion efficiency were revealed.It is found that the motor thrust increases when the throttle valve channel radius reduces.With the reduction of the throttle valve channel radius,the Mach number of combustion gas in the throttle valve exit increases,while the combustion efficiency of motor first increases and then decreases.When the valve outlet gas flow is in critical state,the motor combustion efficiency reaches its maximum value.
