This paper, based on the perspective of policy synergy, took 30 provinces(autonomous regions and municipalities)of China from 2007 to 2020 as research objects to construct an evaluation index system for high-quality economic development. The entropy method was used to measure the level of high-quality regional economic development, and the double fixed effects model was employed for empirical analysis in order to explore the impact of climate policy on the high-quality regional economic development. The results showed that:climate policy synergy had a U-shaped impact on high-quality regional economic development, indicating initial suppression followed by promotion;when the level of climate policy synergy exceeded 7.9,the promotion effect on high-quality regional economic development began to be highlighted;when the impact of the climate policy synergy on the high-quality economic development of the central and western regions followed a U-shaped pattern, the effect on the eastern region was not significant;in the post-Paris era,the climate policy synergy had an increasingly significant influence on the high-quality regional economic development. Therefore,it was necessary to strengthen the top-level design of climate policies to achieve top-down vertical synergy;political advantages and institutional foundations need to be utilized to enhance horizontal synergy among policy subjects;cross-regional and cross-sectoral coordination mechanisms should be established to achieve full flow of information and resources and achieve a"win-win"situation for addressing climate change and promoting the high-quality regional economic development.
