On Intensive Land Use of Development Zones with Different Leading Functions:A Case Study of 188 Development Zones at or above the Provincial Level in Jiangsu Province
Development zones are important to the development of the real economy.Studying intensive land use of development zones with different leading functions is of great significance for industrial transformation and upgrading and high-quality regional development.Taking 188 development zones at or above the provincial level in Jiangsu Province as examples, this paper constructed a comparable evaluation index system of intensive land use based on the development zones with different leading functions. The AHP-CRITIC combined weighting method was applied to measure the land use intensity of development zones. In addition, from the perspective of the leading function of development zones,a regression model was established by comparing the difference of intensive land use between industry-city integrated development zones and industry-leading development zones, and the impact of those functions on the intensive use of land was ready to be discussed. In light of this, the research showed that:(1)The spatial differences in intensive land use of development zones were obvious in Jiangsu. In all development zones including those with different leading functions, the degree of intensive land use in southern Jiangsu was the highest which was followed by central Jiangsu while northern Jiangsu the lowest;(2)The degree of intensive land use of industry-leading development zones in Jiangsu was higher than that of industry-city integrated development zones;(3)The leading function of the development zones had a significant impact on intensive land use, indicating that the industry-city integrated development zones had remarkably negative effects on the intensive use of land.
