On Rural Residents'Demand and Values Identification of Homestead:Data Analysis Based on Message Boards of People's Daily Online Leaders
People's demands are an important basis for government decision-making and its implementation.Based on 9910 online messages concerning rural homesteads on the message board of People's Daily Online leaders,this paper used methods including content analysis,big data analysis and social network analysis to analyze the messages,and discussed the demands of rural residents for their homestead and expressions of their values.The study indicated that the demands for homestead land were relatively common throughout the country,and rural residents preferred to reflect their demands to the secretary of Municipal Party Committee.The main demands of rural residents were standardized governance,household registration management,compensation and resettlement,living environment and housing needs.As a result,it could be known that help-seeking demands were predominant,with overall sentiment being negative.From the perspective of values,rural residents focused on reasonableness,legality,fairness,consultation,listening to public opinions,fairness and justice,reflecting their distinct preference for democratic values.In terms of the similarity among values,there was a high correlation coefficient between protection of individual rights and legality,protection of individual rights and people's will,protection of individual rights and interests,as well as rationality and legality.Regarding the causal relationship between values,primary values included protection of individual rights and interests,development,a good living environment,safety,legality,compliance,fairness,harmony and friendship,fairness and justice.As such,this paper provided a foundation in the aspect of values for the formulation and implementation of rural homestead policies,thus contributing to the construction and management of rural homestead in the future.
