On Infuence and Driving Characteristics of Urban Expansion in Mountainous Areas on Ecological Security Patterns:A Case Study of Chongqing
Regional economic development not only greatly promoted the expansion of urban construction land, but also brought a potential threat to the regional ecological security.Taking the central urban area of Chongqing as an example(including nine administrative regions),this paper used the methods of GIS geo-spatial analysis and data quantitative statistical analysis to obtain the changing characteristics of the ecological security pattern of woodland and water, which were the main representative factors in the process of urban expansion, and to analyze its potential effects. The results were shown as follows:(1)Changes in landscape index values reflected the general variation characteristics of the regional ecological security pattern. In the process of urbanization, the differential responsiveness between landscape index and urban expansion levels provided a valuable reference for the selection of the ecological security pattern index in other regions.(2)Under different administrative divisions, the response degree and correlation of plaque aggregation were the most significant. The differences between the responsiveness indices suggested that the former affected the latter as a gradual process from local to overall.(3)Within two distinct ecological function divisions, the degree of influence, correlation and differences of urban expansion on the ecological security pattern landscape index were studied. It was concluded that within urban core pllution sensitive ecological functional area(Ⅱ 1-1),PLAND was positively correlated with urban expansion index PD-U,and LPI also exhibited a positive correlation. The heterogeneity of its distribution law was likely attribute to increased artificial interference affecting the ecological landscape within the region.Conversely, within suburban water quality protection ecological zone(Ⅱ 1-2),due to ecological control and other factors, the ecological zone designated for water quality protection in the suburbs became the primary obstacle to urban expansion into the suburbs, but its negative correlation trend required further analytical investigation.
