Research on the spatial distribution and influencing factors of manufacturing industry based on GWR model:a case study of six coastal cities in Fujian
The manufacturing industry plays a crucial role in economic development and employment promotion. This article taking six coastal cities in Fujian as the research object, the spatial distribution characteristics of different types of manufacturing industries newly added from 2012 to 2021 have been studied by using spatial statistical methods such as global spatial autocorrelation and hot spot analysis. The geographical weighted regression model has been used to analyze the impact of six factors on the spatial distribution of different types of manufacturing industries. The results shows that the overall spatial distribution characteristics of different types of manufacturing industries can be characterized by"high in the southeast and low in the northwest".The hot spots for spatial agglomeration of different types of manufacturing industries are mainly concentrated in the coastal area of southern Fujian centered around Xiamen.Gross regional product and per capita consumption are favorable factors to attract manufacturing industry, while the tertiary industry of the economy is unfavorable. The impact of permanent population, industrial land price change index and urbanization on different types of manufacturing industry exists differences.
