Research on the Progress of Anti-inflammatory Function of Insect Antimicrobial Peptides(AMPs)
Inflammation is a normal physiological response of the body, which serves to fight infection, accelerate wound healing, and thus facilitate recovery. However, excessive or prolonged inflammation can induce a variety of diseases and even cancer. Therefore, blocking the inflammatory signaling pathway and then controlling inflammation has become a hot spot in immune research. In recent years,it has been found that AMPs,in addition to its excellent antibacterial, antiviral and antitumor properties, can also inhibit the mammalian inflammatory signaling pathway and inhibit sepsis and other cytokine storm-like diseases. In view of this, the mechanism of mammalian inflammation and signaling pathways were reviewed, focusing on the mechanism of insect AMPs in the inhibition of inflammation,in the hope of providing new ideas for further research and development of insect AMPs.
