OBJECTIVE To guide the individualized administration of brodifacoum poisoning by genetic testing.METHODS DNA was extracted from 2 mL venous blood,Fluorescencein situ hybridization analysis was used for the VKORC1(rs9923231)and CYP2C9*3(rs1057910)genotype,and the individual recommendations were provided for the patients according to genotype.RESULTS The VKORC1 genotype of the patient was AA,indicating normal metabolic type, and the CYP2C9*3 genotype was AA,indicating sensitive type of brodifacoum. After the adjusting of the medication plan to the patient genotype, the patient's condition remained stable and no adverse reactions occurred.CONCLUTION Genetic testing can guide the individualized administration of vitamin K,when patients are poisoned by brodifacoum, which can promote rational drug use.
