Clinical Pharmacists'Practice of De-syphilis Treatment in Patients with Cardiovascular Syphilis
OBJECTIVE To explore the working model of clinical pharmacist involvement in the pharmacotherapy of cardiovascular syphilis patients,reflecting the work content and role value of pharmacists.METHODS The whole process of cardiovascular syphilis treatment in cardiothoracic surgery patients in the hospital from January 2018 to December 2021 was selected for retrospective analysis.RESULTS By assisting physicians in managing,optimizing,and monitoring de-syphilis treatment,clinical pharmacists were able to significantly improve cardiovascular syphilis patients'de-syphilis treatment process without the occurrence of Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction.CONCLUSION Pharmacists use their professional advantages to work together with clinicians to develop a rigorous de-syphilis treatment program,and at the same time provide pharmacological supervision to ensure the safety and effectiveness.Building a service model for clinical pharmacists to participate in the de-syphilis of patients is conducive to the overall improvement of pharmacists'professionalism and to better serve the clinic and patients.
