OB JECTIVE Based on a case of acute gout combined with gastrointestinal bleeding and chronic renal insufficiency,this study aims to analyze and explore the advantages of integrated Chinese and Westem treatment.METHODS The characteristics of gout pathogenesis and the treatment characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine based on syndrome differentiation were analyzed.The advantages of using a traditional Chinese medicine decoction and low-dose colchicine orally for anti-inflammatory and kidney protection treatment in gout patients were evaluated.RESULTS After integrated treatment,the patient's joint redness,swelling,and pain resolved.The white blood cell count significantly decreased from 16.97×109·L-1 to 6.11×109·L-1,and there was no progressive decrease in hemoglobin.CONCLUSION The combination of Chinese and Western medicine is safe and effective in treating acute gout with gastrointestinal bleeding and chronic renal insufficiency,offering new insights for clinical treatment decision-making.
