The Practice of Informationized Closed-loop Management of Medicine Boxes in the Anesthesia Pharmacy
OBJECTIVE Exploring the effectiveness of closed-loop management informatics for anaesthesia pharmacy drug boxes.METHODS The drug box serves as a unit for assigning codes, and the entire process of issuing, using, and recalling surgical anaesthetic drugs was computerized and managed using the drug box as a carrier.RESULTS The efficiency, economy, and safety of closed-loop management of anaesthesia pharmacy drug box information technology(control group vs.intervention group)were improved or enhanced. The study found statistically significant reductions in medication administration time[(7.4±0.64)vs.(2.3±0.24)],medication return time[(6.3±0.80)vs.(3.3±0.46)],interoperative refill time[(5.94±0.79)vs.(1.28±0.35)],and interoperative refill frequency[(3.73±0.32)vs.(0.72±0.16)].The average number of daily uses per drug box increased from 0.8 to 1.25.The charge error rate decreased from 15.17%to 0.01%and the manpower consumption decreased from(5.94±0.79)to(1.28±0.35),P<0.05.The medication expiration rate decreased from 3 to 0.The prescription compliance rate increased from 90.58%to 100%and medication accountability increased from 83.92%to 95.04%(P<0.05).CONCLUSION The implementation of a closed-loop management system for anesthesia pharmacy drug boxes effectively addresses the limitations of traditional drug box management. This system ensures standardised drug management in anesthesia pharmacies, improves the quality of medical treatment, and guarantees the safety of perioperative medication. It has significant practical value.
