Pericarp of Citrus reticulata cv.Chachiensis(PCRC)is a traditional herbal medicine in China and is recognized as a geographical indication product from Xinhui District,Jiangmen City,Guangdong Province.The quality of this herbal medicine is closely related to the germplasm and sprouts ofitsraw material.Citrus reticulata Chachiensis(CRC),as the raw material,largely determines the quality of PCRC.This article elaborates on the germplasm and sprouts of CRC by consulting the relevant research and investigating the local situation.It emphasizes the critical role of high-quality sprouts for the PCRC industry and proposes promoting and preserving superior germplasm through quality sproutsto serve as a reference for maintaining and improving PCRC quality in the future.
