Study on the isolation and characterization of constituents and glucose uptake activity of Ferula conocaula Korovin
Objective To study the compositions and pharmacological activity of Ferula conocaula Korovin. Methods The petroleum ether part and the ethylacetate part were separated and purified by various technical means, and the compounds were structurally characterized by spectroscopic methods, and the isolated compounds were subjected to glucose uptake assay. Results Twenty compounds were obtained from F.conocaula, named lypalmitic acid(1),stigmasterol(2),β-sitosterol(3),scopoletin(4),vanillin(5),pinoresinol(6),nitropropionic acid(7),4-hydroxyphenethyl acetate(8),ethylpyroglutamate(9),vanillic acid(10),ferulic acid(11),ethyl caffeate(12),malyngic acid(13),luteolin(14),(2E,4E)-sinkiangenoxide(15),methylchlorogenate(16),(2Z,4E)-sinkiangenoxide(17),dihydrophaseic acid(18),isovanillin(19)and tyrosol(20).These 20 compounds were isolated from this plant for the first time. The results of glucose uptake test showed that compounds 6 and 18 had significant hypoglycemic effect. Conclusion Twenty compounds were extracted and isolated from F.conocaula Korovin by various technological means, all of which were isolated from this plant for the first time, and pinoresinol and dehydrogenated caffea acid had significant hypoglycemic effects.
