Autoimmune diseases are chronic conditions caused by the immune system attacking for self-antigens,with resulting in cell destruction,tissue damage,or organ dysfunction. Patients with autoimmune diseases have a significantly reduced quality of life and ability to work. Therefore,the establishment of animal models that accurately resemble the pathological process of human autoimmune diseases is essential to delineate the pathogenesis and develop treatment. This review summarizes several animal model-making protocols of common autoimmune diseases,including aplastic anemia,rheumatoid arthritis,systemic lupus erythematosus and psoriasis,to provide useful references for experiments and clinical studies of autoimmune diseases.
