Research progress on the impact of cerebral microbleeds on stroke prevention and treatment strategies
Cerebral microbleeds(CMBs),as an important manifestation of cerebral small vessel disease, are closely related to various clinical outcomes such as ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke, cognitive impairment, and gait disorders. In this review,we outline the clinical symptoms mediated by CMBs,evaluate whether CMBs affect the outcomes of ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, and their impact on stroke prevention and treatment strategies. Our research findings show that the burden and distribution of CMBs can significantly affect the risk of onset,treat-ment prognosis, and functional recovery in stroke patients. Moreover,in the treatments of intravenous thrombolys-is,antiplatelet,and anticoagulation, the presence of CMBs is closely related to the risk of cerebral hemorrhage after reperfusion therapy.Exploring early detection of CMBs and individualized treatment regimens can optimize the treatment effect and reduce related risks in stroke patients.
