Wang Yangming's Interpretation of"Longchang Three Hexagrams"
During the Longchang period,Wang Yangming was in a state of exile, where he deeply delved into the study of Yi Dao,combining it with his unique enlightenment.Based on the tenets of"Heng","Dun"and"Jin",he used hexagrams, bigrams, and symbols to present his adherence to Confucian values and self-reflection in reality.Specifically, starting from divination,he accommodates the interpretation of righteousness, takes the predictions of divination as a reminder of fortune and misfortune, and introduces the way of change into one's own moral cultivation with the way of known change. The moral values contained in the three hexagrams of"Heng","Dun"and"Jin"stimulate their own rationality and will to live, and promote them to self-evident virtue and stand up for an independent personality.
