Fang Xuejian is the founder of the Fangshi School in Tongcheng,and his works are mostly used to expound on Neo-Confucianism.However,his book Erxun mainly focuses on biographies of characters.Fang Xue-jian mainly focuses on the Confucian ethics education in his book Erxun,capturing the words and deeds of local fig-ures and evaluating them with praise or criticism,aiming to improve the social atmosphere in his hometown.Fang Xuejian takes Zhongdao as the value scale and measures behaviors and concepts related to filial piety,governance,reputation and reality,hoping to achieve the effect of rectifying the trend by correcting deviations and shortcomings.Fang Xuejian takes Chongshi as his value orientation to connect knowledge and action,advocates pure solid imple-mentation in order to achieve practical application of learning,and connects this"reality"with the"emptiness"at the level of the mind,making his"practical philosophy"more profound and rich in connotation.
