Wang Yangming's Thoughts of Xin-xue on the Practical Thinking of Educational Philosophy
Wang Yangming is the culmination of the study of Xin-xue.Along with Confucius,the founder of Confucianism,Mencius,the master of Confucianis,as well as Zhu Xi,the epitome of Neo-Confucianism,they are known as the"Confucius,Mencius,Zhu and wang."WangYangming's Xin-xue is unique in Chinese ideolog-ical history and has a profound influence.The core idea of Xin-xue can be summarized as"mind is reason","u-nity of knowledge and action",and"cultivating conscience".Chinese thinkers,as early as the pre-Qin period,integrated ideas such as the Heavenly Way,human nature,and ethics into their discourse on education issues.Their understanding of the essence of education was also discussed from this perspective,indicating that the signifi-cance of educational philosophy has been demonstrated.Wang Yangming's Xin-xue mainly revolves around the o-riginal mind,knowledge and action,and conscience.Therefore,it is feasible to explore the problems of education-al philosophy from the perspective of Xin-xue,and it can answer many doubts of educational philosophy and have strong guiding significance for current educational practice.The three core issues of educational philosophy are the essence of education,educational value,and educational purpose.To search for the essence of education in the"mind is reason"and to interpret the value of education in the"unity of knowledge and action",the ultimate goal of education is to"cultivate conscience".
