Suburban villages,due to their proximity to urban areas,face relatively complex development op-portunities and challenges in the new era.Party building has become an important driving force for them to cope with complex situations.Based on a systematic exposition of the logic and practice path of party building leading the localization development of suburban villages,and through field research on Wengjing Village in Guiyang,which was listed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs as one of the"Beautiful and Leisure Villages of China"in 2023,this paper analyzes its resource endowment and practical challenges as a suburban village.It also examines the main practices of achieving localized development through party building leadership,including inde-pendent innovation,village-town linkage,and industrial revitalization.The paper summarizes the"Wengjing Ex-perience,"which is based on strengthening the construction of grassroots party organizations,implementing new business models,innovating interest connection mechanisms,and expanding market access.It explores the long-term mechanisms and sustainability of the Wengjing model,proposes the improvement of the policy support system for suburban village localization development under the leadership of party building,and suggests strategies to en-hance the functionality of grassroots party organizations and the operational mechanisms of party building leading ru-ral development.
