The Relationship between Quiet Ego and Subjective Well-being:The Mediating Role of Perceived Social Support
A questionnaire survey was conducted among 494 college students in Guangdong Province to explore the relationship between college students'quiet ego and subjective well-being,and to examine the mediating role of perceived social support.The results show:The total score of college students'quiet ego and the scores of four dimensions are significantly higher than the theoretical mean;the score of freshman's quiet ego is significantly high-er than that of sophomores,juniors and seniors,while there is no significant difference in the scores of quiet ego a-mong sophomore,junior,and senior students;quiet ego and perceived social support both significantly and posi-tively predict the subjective well-being of college students;perceived social support partially mediates the rela-tionship between quiet ego and subjective well-being.
