Bodies,Cultures and Relationships:A Phenomenology of Film Viewing in "Screen"
Film is a window to the world, and its viewing depends on technical media such as subtitles, bullet screen comments and screens.Firstly,it is only with the participation of the human body that the "screen"can be transformed from a material technology as an artefact to a mediated technology that influences human viewing activi-ties.Secondly,the development of technology is a product of human cultural activities.Subtitles come from the precise expression of film and television, bullet screen comments come from the innovation of online social forms, screens come from the demand for collective viewing and immersive experiences, and the creation of"screens"stems from people's demands for communication activities. Finally,in the relationship between people and technol-ogy proposed by Don Ide,it can be found that subtitles act as an extension of the viewing subject in the embodied relationship, bullet screen comments act as a supplement to the viewing object in the interpretive relationship, and screens provide a field for viewing activities in the background relationship. The phenomenological interpretation of the "screen"of the film-viewing medium may become a metaphor for the future development of media technology in the human life world.
