The Research on the Imperial Examination Paper of Shi Zanqing in the Late Qing Dynasty
Shi Zanqing was a famous official in Guizhou at the end of the Qing Dynasty.He was a scholar in the imperial examination in the 18th year of Daoguang(1838).The original of his palace examination paper has been transferred overseas and is now completely preserved at the University of California,Los Angeles(UCLA).In response to the four questions put forward by Emperor Daoguang,namely,custom education,accumulation and storage,command and training,and selection and appointment of talents,Shi Zanqing made a detailed analysis of the palace test policy,offering advice and suggestions,reflecting his political strategy of helping the world and im-proving the times.Through the investigation and analysis of the examination papers of Shi Zanqing's Imperial Exam-ination Hall and the excavation of its rich historical connotation,we can get a glimpse of the political situation,e-conomic policies,academic thoughts and education level in the late Qing Dynasty,thus reflecting the precious ar-chival and historical value of the examination papers.
