Research on the Regional Architectural Decoration Characteristics and Inheritance Based on Symbol Theory——A Case Study of Zhegao Ancient Town in Chaohu Lake,Central Anhui
Symbols are the essence of culture and history.Architectural symbols,the imprints of local cultural history reflected on the containers of human life,are highly abstract expressions of architectural decoration,which carry the rich meaning of architectural aesthetics and culture.Taking Zhegao Town,Chaohu Lake,a typical tradi-tional ancient town in central Anhui as an example,based on the theory of symbols,combined with the decorative attributes of regional architecture,such as formal aesthetics and folk concepts,this paper analyzes its spatial distri-bution law,pattern significance and human geography concept.Starting from the practical value of integrity and in-novation,it integrates the contemporary aesthetic connotation and proposes an updated design strategy,in order to provide a new way for the translation and practice of the architectural symbols of traditional houses in Jianghuai.
