Under the guidance of core competencies in the English discipline,utilizing teaching cases to assist pre-service teachers in mastering effective pathways for cultivating thinking qualities in basic education is a vital means to enhance their teaching abilities related to core competency thinking.With an English phonetics class as a case,the"CDCE Mode"is examined through four key components:1)Creating scenarios that allow students to empathize with characters;2)Integrating texts to facilitate students'emotional connection with the characters;3)Promoting collaboration to foster emotional interactions among students;4)Nurturing students'situational thinking qualities through experiential learning.Through case analysis,this approach effectively demonstrates how thinking quality within core competencies can be cultivated in foundational English classroom teaching.
