Lexical Priming and Underlying Logic of"Banfa""fangfa""fangshi"
Based on Hoey's lexical priming theory and relying on the BCC corpus,this study conducts an in-depth analysis of the Chinese near-synonyms"banfa""fangfa""fangshi",and compares their priming mechanisms(semantic association,lexical collocation,colligation,and pragmatic association).At the same time,by levera-ging the underlying logic of vocabulary,it further explores the subtle relationships between Chinese near-synonyms from the decisiveness of underlying semantic governance,the compulsion of syntax,and the selectivity of pragma-tics,with the aim of enhancing the teaching effectiveness of near-synonyms in second language teaching.
