The Influence of High School Students'Growth Mindset of Mathematical Ability on Mathematics Learning Engagement:The Mediating Role of Academic Self-Efficacy and Grit
Growth mindset of mathematical competence profoundly affects mathematical learning behavior.Ex-ploring the relationship between high school students'growth mindset of mathematical ability and mathematical learning engagement will help improve students'mathematical learning behaviors.A questionnaire survey was con-ducted on 393 high school students in Yulin,using the Mathematics Competence Growth Mindset Scale,the Aca-demic Self-Efficacy Scale,the Mathematics Learning Engagement Scale and the Grit Scale.The results showed that there were significant correlations between the growth mindset of mathematical ability,academic self-effica-cy,grit and mathematical learning engagement among high school students.The mediating effects of academic self-efficacy and grit between perceptions of growth mindset in mathematical ability and engagement in mathematics learning were all significant.
