Study on Strength Change of Activated Magnesium Oxide Carbonized Solidified Dredged Sediment
In order to improve the strength of dredged sediment, activated MgO was used to solidify the dredged sediment.Through unconfined compressive strength test, the strength change of the dredged sediment was studied un-der the factors of activated MgO content, moisture content, compaction degree, carbonization time and so on.The re-sults show that there is a positive correlation between the compressive strength of carbonized dredged sediment and MgO content under single factor condition. With the increase of water content,it gradually decreased. With the increase of compaction degree and carbonation time,it first increased and then decreased, and there was an optimal compaction degree(95%)and an optimal carbonation time(2 h).Under the condition of 10%MgO content,15%moisture content and 95%compactness,the strength of the specimens after 2 hours carbonization was 5.65 MPa,which was 1.61 times of that of the specimens without carbonization after 7 days curing.
