Method for Comprehensive Grading of Recycled Coarse Aggregate Based on Fuzzy Hierarchical Analysis
Quality of recycled aggregates has a decisive impact on performance of recycled concrete, and proper clas-sification plays a significant role for recycling aggregates effectively. The classification and grading of aggregates exhib-its fuzziness typically. It is advisable to select key material properties as the basis, and to apply fuzzy analytic hierarchy process(AHP)to establish a comprehensive methodology for quality grading.Based on material-test indicators'impact on the quality of recycled aggregate concrete and acceptance of the indicators in engineering, five material indicators were selected:mortar adhesion ratio, density, water absorption, bulk density, and crushing value,as the core evaluation indicators.Based on principles of fuzzy analysis,ridge-type membership functions were established for the five material properties as main indicators. With principles of AHP,weights of the indicators were established;and then a fuzzy grading frame was conducted based on the comprehensive evaluation membership vector. Finally, the feasibility and ra-tionality of this method were verified with case studies.
