For the reinforced concrete rectangular water tank with large plane size and vertical unidirectional force on the tank wall,variable wall thickness is generally adopted in engineering design to achieve the purpose of cost saving.In this paper,the internal force characteristics of tank wall with variable wall thickness are summarized by finite element analysis of multiple models of rectangular water tank with variable wall thickness based on engineering examples.This paper analyzes the economy of the rectangular water tank with variable wall thickness,and summarizes the application conditions of the rectangular water tank with variable wall thickness to reduce the cost.
