Portal frames are more sensitive to wind loads,and there are differences in the values of wind loads in cur-rent regulations.The substantial differences in basic data directly affect the safety of the structure.This article takes a closed double slope roof portal frame light house in Shenzhen as an example.By calculating portal frames with different spans and column spacings,the differences in internal force and column base reaction results of the components are compared.The results show that most working conditions are controlled by constant live loads.In the combination of wind load control,except for the column base tension,the use of load specifications has a certain degree of improvement compared to the portal frame specifications.
