Experimental Study on Fire Resistance of Laminated Bamboo Lumber Under Fire
Against the background of increasing emphasis on sustainable and environmentally friendly materials in the construction industry, engineered bamboo has received much attention due to its renewability and excellent mechani-cal properties. However, its fire behavior at high temperatures and under fire conditions has not been fully investigated, which limits the use of bamboo in building structures. In this study, the fire resistance properties of laminated bamboo lumber(LBL)were explored through experimental studies. The results showed that the charring depth of LBL under ISO 834 fire action increased gradually with the fire action time.In addition, the charring depth and charring rate of LBL under ISO 834 standard fire were modeled by fitting curves using the experimental data within 10%error.
