Application of Transient Electromagnetic Method in Detection of Water Abundance of an Iron Ore Formation
The detection of water abundance in the roof and floor strata of mines is a key aspect of water prevention and control work in mines. With transient electromagnetic technology, the water abundance in the roof and floor strata of the main haulage roadway of a certain iron mine in the middle section of-230 m is detected.Based on transient electromagnetic response data, the water abundance anomaly areas are analyzed in different detection directions, and the water abundance areas are delineated using three-dimensional imaging technology. The results show that there are two areas with abnormal water abundance at-230 m,mainly in the areas with abnormal water abundance with horizontal distances of 0~40 m,80~110 m and 140~190 m,and longitudinal distance of 20~40 m,as well as in the areas with abnormal water abundance at the roof direction with horizontal distances of 40 m to 200 m and longitudinal distances of 80~100 meters. This can effectively guide the water prevention and control work in mining areas.
