Experimental Study on Preparation of Alkaline Pellets with Minas Ore and Australian Ore
In order to achieve the green development of iron and steel enterprises,it is necessary to reduce the use of sinter ore and increase the proportion of pellets entering the furnace.Acidic pellets have poor metallurgical performance, leading to a decrease in the alkalinity of the blast furnace slag, while alkaline pellets can solve the above problems. The alkaline pellet is produced by using Australian concentrate after magnetic separation and Minas hematite added with limestone, and the raw material properties, pelletizing tests and preheating and induration regime are studied. It's found that:the Minas ore after one high-pressure grinding rolling can meet the pelletizing requirements;the suitable ratio of Minas for producing alkaline pellets is 40%;the suitable preheating temperature is 900 to 950℃;when the induration temperature is 1 230℃,the strength of the roasted ball is more than 2800 N which meets the production requirements;and the compressive strength and metallurgical properties of the alkaline pellets are better than those of the acid pellets.
