Production Practice of Vanadium-titanium Sinter in JSCO No.3 Sintering Machine
Jiuquan Iron and Steel ( Group) Co.,Ltd. is located in the northwestern part of China, and the effective utilization of high-grade iron ore in the surrounding area is crucial for the development of the enterprise. The industrial tests of vanadium-titanium sinter production at JISCO No. 3 sintering machine has proved that the production of vanadium-titanium sinter at JISCO is completely feasible. The industrial test production results show that with the increase of the proportion of vanadium-titanium magnetite, the sinter bed becomes thinner, the machine speed decreases, the vertical sintering speed slows down, the permeability of the mixture becomes worse, the negative pressure of flue ducts rises, and the granulation effect of the mixture becomes worse. Moreover, due to the presence of perovskite, indicators such as sinter strength, ore return rate,low-temperature reduction pulverization rate, and drum index show a deterioration trend, but the sinter droplet range becomes narrower, which is more conducive to blast furnace smelting. In subsequent production, priority should be given to controlling the fuel ratio to be 5.2%,and the TiO2 content of sinter less than 1.5%.
