Effect of Steam Spraying on Material Surface on Output and Quality of Sintered Ore and CO Emission
Based on the on-site raw material condition of a sinter plant in China, the experiment of steam spraying on the material surface is carried out with a sintering cup device, and the effects of the total amount of steam sprayed, spraying flow rate, spraying pressure and spraying time on output and quality indexes of sintered ore and CO emission are studied. The results show that after steam spraying, the yield and tumbler index of sintered ore increase, the solid fuel consumption goes down, and the vertical sintering speed decreases. Under the conditions of spraying steam after 6 min of ignition with a spraying flow rate of 0.02 m3/min,a spraying pressure of 0.2 MPa and a spraying total amount of 240 g,the output and quality indexes of sintered ore are optimal, the yield rate is 73.23%,the tumbler index is 67.20%,and the solid fuel consumption is 61.05kg/t. When the steam with the same parameters is sprayed 8min after ignition, the CO reduction effect is the best, with a reduction of 19.06% compared to the benchmark.
