The utilization of steel slag,a by-product in steel production,not only contributes to environmental protection but also yields significant economic benefits.In this paper,the physical and chemical properties of BSSF slag are firstly tested and analyzed,the design of BSSF slag construction pile is optimized,then the sintering production practice is carried out,and the metallurgical performances of sintered ore are determined by the national standard method.Analysis and comparison of the sintered ore before and after production with BSSF slag show that the composition of the blended powder with 1%BSSF slag is more stable compared to the reference period;In the process of sintering production,the flux consumption can be reduced by 7.79 kg/t,the fuel consumption can be reduced by1.05 kg/t,the ore return rate can be reduced by 3.06%,and the production can be increased by 12.50%.The technical and economic indexes of sintering production are significantly improved;The drum index and low-temperature reduction disintegration index RDI+3.15 of the sintered ore are increased by0.31%and2.2%respectively,while the molten droplet performance also significantly improves.Through economic analysis,the dosing of 1%BSSF slag can reduce the cost of iron-making process by about 1RMB/t.
