Influence of Steam Spraying on Sinter Surface on Combustion Efficiency of Fuel
According to the raw materials and process conditions of a sintering plant in China,a sintering pot is used to carry out experiments on spraying steam on the sinter surface, and the effects of the total amount of steam spraying, spraying flow rate, spraying pressure, and spraying moment on the combustion efficiency of the fuel in the sintering process are investigated. The results show that the spraying steam improves the heat transfer conditions in the sintering bed, promotes the positive water-gas reaction, improves the kinetic conditions of combustion, reduces the concentration of CO in the flue gas,and increases the combustion efficiency of the solid fuel. The highest improvement in combustion efficiency has been achieved under the conditions of spraying steam after 8 min of ignition, with a total amount of 240 g,a spraying pressure of 0.2 MPa,and a spraying flow rate of 0.02 m3/min,and the combustion efficiency increases from the benchmark 87.39%to 89.78%.
