Key Incremental Launching Techniques of Steel Trusses in Side Spans of Main Navigation Channel Bridge of Maanshan Changjiang River Rail-cum-Road Bridge
The main navigation channel bridge of Maanshan Changjiang River Rail-cum-Road Bridge is a three-pylon cable-stayed bridge with spans(112+392+2 × 1 120+392+112)m.The stay cables are arranged in three cable planes. The superstructure consists of steel trusses, where the superstructure between piers Z1 and Z3 measures 504 m long, which are divided into 19 segments and erected by incremental launching, with a total weight reaching 26 446.73 t.Temporary structures were installed to facilitate the incremental launching construction, the gantry cranes and nodal-type automatic incremental launching system were optimized, and the alignment of the steel trusses were monitored and adjusted during the incremental launching process. The stresses and deformation of the steel trusses and launching nose as well as the settlements of the auxiliary piers and pier-side scaffolds were monitored to ensure that the parameters of the steel trusses could meet the code requirements and agree well with the calculated limit values.BIM model was established based on the key real-time data of the gantry crane, incremental launching system and temporary piers, and a full-process digital twins was applied,to transform the overhead operation to land operation. The incremental launching process of the steel trusses were numerically simulated in MIDAS Civil. The results show that the strength, stiffness and stability of the steel trusses and large temporary structures met the code requirements.
