This paper presents a comprehensive method developed on the basis of fuzzy theory,which can quantitatively evaluate the service condition of the bridge monitoring equipment.By using the proposed method,a self-diagnostic service system for the monitoring equipment is built.Complying with the current codes,an evaluation index system of bridge monitoring equipment operation state is established,and the normal distribution membership function,together with the Pearson correlation coefficient and information entropy,is drawn to determine the weights of different evaluation indexes.The quantitative evaluation of the service condition of the monitoring equipment is conducted in the fuzzy evaluation model based on hybrid operators.The real-time conditions of the monitoring equipment and warning are carried out via the self-diagnostic service system.The proposed method has been used in a suspension bridge.The engineering practice demonstrates that the evaluations made by the presented method are the same as those made by the methods suggested in the codes and the probability analysis method.But it provides a bottom-up,layer-by-layer comprehensive weighted analysis based on fussy theory,quantitatively evaluates the operation state and membership of each layer of the bridge monitoring equipment system,and evaluation results are directly registered.The presented self-diagnostic service system is favorable for the scientific guiding of the operation of the bridge health monitoring system.
