Economic Issues in Modern China from a Global Perspective:Investigation of the Journal Pacific Affairs
During the Republic of China period,the journal Pacific Affairs hosted by the Pacific International Institute paid close attention to economic issues in China.It published a large number of academic papers and review articles on important academic works concerning the study of the economic issues in China,making it the foreign academic journal with the highest number of published studies on Chinese economic issues in modem times.These studies covered topics such as agriculture and rural economy,currency and finance,international investment and trade,wartime economy,and post-war reconstruction.The studies included viewpoints of Chinese scholars reflecting official ideologies,Marxist scholars,and independent intellectuals,as well as observations from foreign scholars.The research on Chinese economic issues in Pacific Affairs during the Republic of China era demonstrated the interaction and mutual learning of modern global economic thought civilization based on Chinese economic issues.
