Overcome Digital Alienation and Realize Digital Socialism:A Critical Study of Christian Fuchs'Thoughts
The phenomenon of digital alienation caused by digital capitalism has become a new dilemma faced by modern people.Christian Fuchs critiques digital capitalism in the three realms of economy,politics and culture by the matrix of digital alienation.Drawing on Marxism,Fuchs argues that digital socialism would be more equal,democratic and inclusive.In his view,achieving digital socialism requires the development of critical theory and critical education,and relies on the collective organization of digital workers in social movements.Although these views carry abstract speculative elements and a revolutionary romantic tendency,they also inherit the dialectical and realistic characteristics of Western Marxist critique of modernity.The development of digital China is moving towards or even beyond the vision of digital socialism described by Fuchs,and Chinese scholars should strive to expand the influence of digital China and participate in the discussion about digital socialism.
