Modern Reconstruction of National Spirit and Chinese Modernization:An Examination of Modernization from the Perspective of Nation-state
A nation-state is a sovereign state with defined boundaries and unified administrative organs formed in the active interaction between"nation"and"state".Under the impetus of the global wave of modernization,the classical model of nation-state characterized by"one nation,one state"has gradually evolved into the form of"unified multi-ethnic state",giving rise to two paths of modernization:early-modernized states and late-modernized states.Based on this,the modernization of national spirit encompasses rationalization,inclusiveness,wholeness and cosmopolitanism,as well as the modernity of nation-building and governance,aiming at achieving the unity of national spirit and national interests.The Chinese national spirit,with its profound heritage,unique spiritual outlook and firm value pursuits,has become a powerful driving force for leading the Chinese people toward Chinese modernization and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.In this regard,the national spirit is crucial to national rejuvenation.To achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,it is imperative to carry forward the Chinese national spirit.At present,we must reinforce the sense of the Chinese nation as one community,stay confident in the path,theory,system,and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics,practice the great founding spirit of the Party,so as to fully explore the modern connotation of the Chinese national spirit.
