Expression levels of miR-21,miR-26a and miR-200a in patients with preeclampsia and correlation with the condition
Objective To analyze the expression of miR-21,miR-26a and miR-200a in serum of patients with preeclampsia(PE),and to explore their clinical significance.Methods A total of 103 PE patients who treated in Nanjing Women and Children's Healthcare Hospital from March 2019 to March 2021 were selected and divided into mild PE group(57 cases)and severe PE group(46 cases),and another 50 normal pregnant women in the same period were selected as control group.The expression levels of miR-21,miR-26a and miR-200a in serum of pregnant women in each group were detected,and their correlation with age,gestational week,BMI,blood pressure,24h urinary protein and adverse pregnancy outcomes were analyzed,as well as the diagnostic value of serum miR-21,miR-26a and miR-200a for PE.Results BMI,diastolic blood pressure,systolic blood pressure,and 24-h urinary protein in the severe PE group were higher than those in the mild PE group and the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(F=4.116,141.063,143.118,and 342.736,respectively,P＜0.05).The expression levels of miR-21,miR-26a and miR-200a in the serum of pregnant women in control group,mild PE group and severe PE group were increased sequentially.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the expression levels of serum miR-21,miR-26a and miR-200a were positively correlated with blood pressure,24-hour urinary protein and the incidence of adverse pregnancy outcomes(r values ranged from 0.446 to 0.832,P＜0.001).The area under the curve(AUC)for the combined diagnosis of PE with serum miR-21,miR-26a and miR-200a was 0.967,with a sensitivity of 98.10％and a specificity of 92.30％,as analyzed by the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve of the subjects.Conclusion The expression of serum miR-21,miR-26a and miR-200a in PE patients is higher than that in normal pregnant women,and it is related to clinical indicators and adverse pregnancy outcomes.Detection of serum miR-21,miR-26a and miR-200a levels is of great significance for early diagnosis and prognosis of PE patients.
