Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases are the most important causes of death in postmenopausal women.Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases caused by the decline of estrogen levels in postmenopausal women have brought great challenges to society.In recent years,estrogen receptor has been widely concerned as a potential target for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases in menopausal women.This article summarized the research progress of estrogen receptor at home and abroad in recent years,and explored the protective mechanism of estrogen receptor activation on cardiovascular and cerebrovascular,further deepen the understanding of estrogen receptor,so as to help realize the health management of women's whole life cycle.
