Effect of the FAST-fix 360° system on lateral meniscus injury under arthroscopy
Objective To investigate the effect of the FAST-fix 360° system under arthroscopy on lateral meniscus injury. Methods A total of 72 patients with lateral meniscus injury who underwent arthroscopic FAST-fix 360° system repair in the Department of Orthopedics of Tangshan Second Hospital from January 2020 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects.Tegner,Lysholm, and IKDC scores,VAS scores, and postoperative complications of 72 patients were compared before surgery and at 6 months and 12 months after surgery. Results The Tegner,Lysholm, and IKDC scores of all patients with lateral meniscus injury at 6 and 12 months after surgery were higher than those before surgery(P<0.05),and the visual analogue score(VAS)was lower than that before surgery(P<0.05).There were five complications, including postoperative infection in one case, hematoma in two cases, and joint stiffness in two cases. The incidence of postoperative complications was 6.94%.Conclusion Arthroscopic FAST-fix360° system repair in patients with lateral meniscus injury can improve knee motor function, reduce pain, and lead to a low incidence of complications, indicating that this method has good safety and effectiveness in clinical application.
